INDICATIONS:

Colirex is indicated for the supportive treatment in colic, colic pains in abdomen, constipation and flatulence.

COLIC
Colic is often associated with infants, it can occur in adults, too.
In babies, colic is usually described as uncontrollable crying for several hours and weeks on end, for no apparent reason.

In adults, colicky pain is usually a sharp, localized gastrointestinal or urinary pain that can arise abruptly, and tends to come and go in spasm like waves. This can happen repeatedly over weeks, months, or years. It often occurs in hollow organs of the abdomen (such as the small and large intestines, rectum, and gallbladder) and in the urinary tract (such as in the kidneys or ureter). The pain is thought to be the result of muscle contracting around a complete or partial blockage in one of these organs or tubes.

Possible causes of colic in babies that have been explored include:
Digestive system that isn’t fully developed Imbalance of healthy bacteria in the digestive tract Food allergies or intolerances Overfeeding, underfeeding or infrequent burping Family stress or anxiety.
Features symptoms of colic in babies may include the following:
Intense crying that may seem more like screaming or an expression of pain. Crying for no apparent reason. Extreme fussiness even after crying has diminished Predictable timing, with episodes often occurring in the evening. Facial discoloring, such as reddening of the face or paler skin around the mouth. Bodily tension, such as pulled up or stiffened legs, stiffened arms, clenched fists, arched back, or tense abdomen COMPOSITION:

Each tablet contains: Magnesium Phosphoricum 3x, Calcium Phosphoricum 3x, Ferrum Phosphoricum 3x, Natrum Sulfuricum 3x each 25mg w/w and excipients Q.S to tablet weight.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: No evidence exists for any established interactions with food or other substances/conventional medicines. Data derived from laboratory studies and healthy volunteers does not shows any of the serious effects of illness.

ADVERSE EFFECTS: No adverse effects have been reported or observed till date. However existing symptoms may get worse temporarily when homoeopathic medicines are taken. Some individuals may experience sensitivity to the lactose in the tablet base of the remedy. Although the overall risk of homoeopathic remedies causing an adverse effect appears to be low. It is better to consult a Homoeopath instead of self medication which might results in negative effects due to improper diagnosis.

INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER SUBSTANCES: There is no evidence that homoeopathic remedies interfere with other substances. Alcohol, tobacco and unhealthy life style may effect the efficacy of Homoeopathic remedies so try to avoid these habits for achieving best results. It would not be anticipated that there would be any interaction with conventional medicines.

DOSAGE:
As directed by the registered homoeopathic doctor.
Adult: 4 Tablets 4 times a day with every 3 hours interval.
Children: 2 Tablets 4 times a day with every 3 hours interval.
WARNING:
Take tablets 30 minutes before or after meals. This medicine contains lactose and wheat starch. Store in a cool & dry place.
