Introduction:

Pyorrhoea:

It refers to an advanced stage of periodontal disease in which the ligaments and bones that support the teeth become inflamed and infected.

Causes:

Most common causes of pyorrhea can include:

• Poor oral hygiene is the main cause of pyorrhea.
• Incorrect eating habits such as consumption of white bread, sugar, excess meat and refined grains.
• Improper brushing and incorrect use of toothpicks also cause pyorrhea.
• Lack of calcium in the daily diet, this element is vital in strengthening the maxilla that holds your teeth.
• Smoking.
• Physical and chemical irritation of the mouth, allergy, pregnancy, the use of contraceptive pills and prolonged tension.

Indications:

Pyorrhea is a disease of gums. There are various symptoms indicating pyorrhea including, bleeding gums, bad breath, pain while eating, swollen gums, red gums, recessed gums. The main cause of pyorrhea is bacterial infection; other factors are incorrect brushing, improper use of tooth brush, stagnation of food particles and improper diet. Pharmacology:

HR 69 has a potent anti-inflammatory, tissue healer, as antibacterial/anti-cavity and plaque-reducing as well as “probably the most outstanding herbal remedy for mouth sores”. Formula with properties:

Arjuna 1D: helpful in mouth ulcers and stomatitis, best mouth wash and used in bleeding fromany part of the body.

Echinacea Ang 1D: Canker; gums recede and bleed easily; corners of mouth and lips crack; tongue dry and swollen.

Hydrastis Can 1D: Peppery taste. Tongue white, swollen; shows imprint of teeth; as if scalded; stomatitis. Fissures toward the edges.

Merc Sol 30D: Sweetish metallic taste. Salivary secretions greatly increased; bloody and viscid. Saliva fetid. Gums spongy, recede, bleed easily.

Propolis 1D: inflammation, bleeding and fetid smell from gums.

Sanguinaria Can 1D: Swollen; worse, right side. Dry and constricted. Ulceration of mouth and fauces, with dry, burning sensation of Tongue.

Dosage Directions for use

Dosage:  Add 25-30 drops of medicine in a glass of water, thoroughly rinse the mouth with it and drink the remaining solution. Repeat four times a day.
