Types of cough

Productive cough
Also known as
wet cough, which typically brings up mucus. Mostly wet cough is caused by cold or flu, with other accompanying symptoms such as a runny nose, postnasal drip, and fatigue.
Dry cough
It is also known as
non-productive cough. A dry cough irritates and it is usually associated with a tickly throat. Croup cough
